New to linux, experienced windows user, and dos before, but often problems with networks.
I installed mint in my htpc (call it zotac), and also in virtualbox in my main computer (call it lianli). Lianli's os is windows 7. And I've been using windows xp in virtualbox for years.
In short, there are 4 os's :
xp-virtualbox and mint-virtualbox in win7-lianli
mint-zotac
Every os can ping every other.
The pair xp and win7 can communicate, but none of the 5 other pairs can.
I am using passwords in the mint installs because mint is adamant about it, but I don't use passwords in the windows installs. I think that that might be the problem.
I have a good reason for not using a password in windows. Is there a way out ?
