Linux Mint 19 cinnamon permanent nameserver problem

Post by cybercitizen »

hello friends.
i am a mint user and i was using mint 18.
After mint 19 released i set it up my computer but i have a problem.
i can not change nameserver to 208.67.222.222.
i could change it in mint 18 through comment out "dnsmasq" value in the NetworkManager.conf file but in mint 19 i can't find this value and i tried different solutions that i found on the internet but they haven't worked.
do you have any idea?
how can i set them as opendns?

hi all.
i have solved my problem with this solution:

1- First of all I installed "resolvconf" -- sudo apt install resolvconf -
2- After i installed the resolvconf, i add opendns addresses into this file -- /etc/resolvconf/resolv.conf.d/tail
3- Restart
Now, nameserver addresses we prefer are added into /etc/resolv.conf which is linked with /run/resolvconf/resolv.conf
