Mint 19.0 /etc/resolv.conf is a symbolic link to /run/systemd/resolve/stub-resolv.conf
With that link, my VPN failed its DNS Leak Test.
I then installed the resolvconf package which changes the link to
/run/resolvconf/resolv.conf as in Mint 18.3
Then my VPN passed its DNS Leak Test...(happiness).
Please explain what is gained with Mint 19.0 DNS configuration.

Ummm . .. Ubuntu's DNS configuration. Mint 19 is based on Ubuntu 18.04.
