netstat -natp shows the following line
tcp6 0 0 :::1716 :::* LISTEN 2046/kdeconnectd
I have no idea what this is - apparently to connect to Android smartphone but I never installed or used anything there?
Does this come with Linux Mint (cinnamon) by default, can I uninstall/disable?
Thanks
netstat shows kdeconnectd - what is this?

As it's a KDE component, it shouldn't. Did you install any KDE applications?ACE256 wrote: Does this come with Linux Mint (cinnamon) by default ...

yes KDenklive the video editor - but why would it open an internet IP/port?

Perhaps the application itself wouldn't, but it's likely a common component included in the additional KDE libraries that had to be installed to support the application.ACE256 wrote: yes KDenklive the video editor - but why would it open an internet IP/port?
Edit: Looks like Kdenlive features "online resources", so perhaps it's part of that?
