Internet security

My wireless connection may not be secure

I use wireless at work provided by another company. I am considered
a customer thus this service is provided. I'm the only on the
router if that matters. Recently the router was changed
from a linksys to a buffalo. At that time the company removed
a wired LAN cable I was using. He insisted to set my
network up on the router. Which I did to keep him off my
machine. My work is confidental I have switched to a gsm coonection
however the company is removing the gsm repater tower due
to a service issue.
Sorry for the long post. What can I do to be secure
and prevent spying on the supplied network
that I don't control. Not sure if this is possible

thanks
Wesley
