I mean any documents that you download from a government site or places or sites for functions needed to make society run. If you need Silverlight to take part in government activities or take an online course from a university then that limits your choise of computer platform.

Here is a good example of what happens when a government site is using a non open standard.

Oh I see your point now :D I have been using Linux Mint for a long time and I use the government websites on a daily basis and I have never had anything like that :D :D I never use windows at all. I have a friend who works at the ministry of higher education and he has been using Mint since the day I met him and he does all the work with Mint too :D :D No problem at all I guess :D

Good. But no problem now could become a problem later if someone hire a company to do a new site layout and there is no specification for file standards.

How is the arabic translations?

I kind of suspected that but you need to cover Arabic too wouldn't you?
Also, have you tried the Arabic Ubuntu font that's not released yet?

We don't need support for arabic language at all in Tunisia. We study IT in French ! For word processing Libreoffice and OpenOffice are just fantastic when it comes to support for Arabic language. Actually you can get OpenOffice fully etranslated to Arabic here http://www.openoffice.org/ar/

:D :D

Here is the cheapest thing I can think of that we use on a daily basis in public places and that is easily noticed and very appetizing: disposable paper cups :D

This won't cost 20 Pences
