A download link should be open for all to use, no matter what internet browser. Normally I woun't suggest modifying the LM page for Internet Explorer compatability, except this is TO DOWNLOAD linux mint. The screen shot is from IE7, on XP.
See attachement of floating banner add. A trick for this, I noticed that it uses an i frame. you could set padding-top to be "-20" for just internet explorer. Or you could not use position: absolute... Perhaps just an exra spacer. When I do a re-install of XP. I download Linux Mint. In thic case, I got the link myself

Yeah, and I tried again and its fine. Its just went corrupt the one time I went to click on it, lucky I got a pic. "Pics or it didn't happen"
