HOWTO: Install Lxmed (LXDE Menu Editor)

You can install Lxmed (LXDE Menu Editor) as following.

Code: Select all

wget -c http://freefr.dl.sourceforge.net/project/lxmed/lxmed-20120515.tar.gz

Code: Select all

tar -xf lxmed-20120515.tar.gz

Code: Select all

cd lxmed

Code: Select all

chmod +x install.sh

Code: Select all

sudo sh install.sh

After installation, you can reach Lxmed from Menu => Preferences => Main Menu Editor

Is there any way to add entries to the top level of the menu, meaning, at the level of "Internet" and "Office" etc.? I would like to put launchers for some of my most-used applications there, as a kind of "Favorites" function.
