Hibernating

Post by amphib »

My Mint 18.3 machine (Toshiba laptop) has started hibernating on its own when left dormant for any period of time. This very frustrating, as I must totally power down and restart in order to get it back. I have checked the power profile and I have Never selected for all power saving items. Also checked the cmos and it also has hibernating, etc, deselected. Also loses the wifi after a while before hibernating.
Any ideas?

Have you tried to remove the hibernating mode at all? Maybe it is any beeper and that is the reason why it is so.

This should work:

Code: Select all

sudo mv -v /etc/polkit-1/localauthority/50-local.d/com.ubuntu.enable-hibernate.pkla /
