Konsole window doesn't close after script ends

Post by Arius »

From the Dolphin file manager I am running a script in a Konsole window.
After the last script command line the window doesn't exit.
Hitting enter just gives a new line; no prompt.
I added exit to the end of the script but it had no effect.

If I run the same script from a shortcut on the desktop using Terminal the window exits.

Is there a command like exit that will close out the Konsole window?

This is the script.

Code: Select all

#!/bin/bash
echo "Starting..."
cd /home/Mystuff/MyShare/Software-Kits/Linux/Crypto-Calc
curl https://api.coinmarketcap.com/v1/ticker/bitcoin/   > coinmarketcap-quotes.dat  2> coinmarketcap-quotes.log
curl https://api.coinmarketcap.com/v1/ticker/ethereum/ >> coinmarketcap-quotes.dat 2>> coinmarketcap-quotes.log
curl https://api.coinmarketcap.com/v1/ticker/waves/    >> coinmarketcap-quotes.dat 2>> coinmarketcap-quotes.log
libreoffice --calc Crypto-Sheet.ods
echo "Ending..."
In the Konsole window there are messages that do not show when running in Terminal.

Code: Select all

Starting...
func=xmlSecCheckVersionExt:file=xmlsec.c:line=188:obj=unknown:subj=unknown:error=19:invalid version:mode=abi compatible;expected minor version=2;real minor version=2;expected subminor version=25;real subminor version=26
Ending...
5.3.0-40-generic x86_64 64bit Cinnamon 4.4.8 Linux Mint 19.3 Tricia
Acer V5-171-6675 v2.21 Intel i3-2377M 64bit MT MCP L2 cache: 3072 KiB
2nd Gen Intel Graphics i915 display

./script.name && exit
It's kad-eye-cha, not kada-itcha.
