It seems that we can search the contents to use Nemo on Linux Mint 20.2.
Do this new feature add to the background of index generation?
I'm worried about that.
Like Windows in the past.
Do you have any information about this area?

Thank you for your reaction.

Cinnamon 5.0
Nemo
Nemo, the Cinnamon file manager, has a new search feature. Until now you could only search for files. In Nemo 5.0 you can combine file search and content search, i.e. files which are named a certain way and/or which contain particular words.

Ahh. Now I understand. I too want to know how it works. Presumably it will use grep in some way.

I will update this question.
Please forgive me for the question again.
In Nemo 5.x, we can combine filename search and content search.
Does it work with mlocate? like tracker-extract with Gnome.
Is indexDB by mlocate used from GUI app in LM20.2?
Can I uninstall mlocate safely?
I want to know how the content search works in Nemo 5.x .

Here is another topic where they discussed this and didn't come up with an answer:

So your question is still valid. How does the content search work?

Thank you.
I found this conversation, but it was before LM20.2.

Is there any change in LM20.2?
That is the focus of my interest.
