Dummy Output, Linux Mint Newbie

Postby cmb271 » Wed Mar 20, 2013 7:26 pm

Okay I have a fresh install of linux mint 14 and the Sound doesn't work, I had this same problem  with Ubuntu but I can't recall how I fixed it, it won't recongnize my sound card and

Code: Select all

alsamixer
doesn't do anything but give me the output

Code: Select all

cannot open mixer: No such file or directory

Give me some code, I'll give you the output, I'm so confused and tired and I just wanna get this fixed.

Best advice I've seen so far on the forum, and simple, too.
