After multiple issues, I finally get my Wife's Acer ZC-606 AIO PC (4GB RAM & Intel Celeron CPU J1900) up and running as a Dual Boot with Win 8.1
Now however I am coping flack from her because Mint 17.2 MATE 64bit is randomly freezing way too often and she needs to get it working again by doing a cold reboot
Any solutions for this bug?

Re: Mint 17.2 MATE 64bit random Freezes
Might be a driver issue. First try the easy generic solutions:
a. Install the latest kernel from the 3.16 series:
https://sites.google.com/site/easylinux ... el-updates
(item 3, right column)
Then reboot.
b. When no improvement: install the latest kernel from the 3.19 series.
Then reboot.
c. When still no improvement: check for a newer BIOS / UEFI and when available, install it.

Re: Mint 17.2 MATE 64bit random Freezes
Thanks Pjtr for your help, I'm not confident about making the changes you suggested, I'm not that skilled with PC's, so I have purchased a HP Pavilion 23 PC for my Wife and trying again
