Bulk file renaming

Hi Guys

Not a Mint specific question, but hope someone can help.
I receive .jpg files from weekly events that are named for example "2086_IMG_2628_2016x1344.jpg"
I would like to rename all the files in the folder to "eventname1.jpg" "eventname2.jpg" etc
Is there a way to rename all the files with one command?

Do you also accept a GUI-program? In this case take a look at gprename.
