VPN service compatible with Linux Mint?
Anyone know a VPN service which is easy to install and use with Linux Mint? It don't have to be free just simple to set up and use..

Private Internet Access is a sponsor of Linux Mint; it works well on Linux Mint. Here is a guide you can use: https://www.privateinternetaccess.com/f ... int-debian. Alternative it also has links to videos you can use instead.

I use https://mullvad.net They have a nice GUI for Linux. Very cheap appx. $6.00 p/month
Re: VPN service compatible with Linux Mint?
Does it have a GUI? I have been looking at PureVPN lately because they have so many server and options to change to a specific country. Any experience with PureVPN and Linux Mint?xenopeek wrote:Private Internet Access is a sponsor of Linux Mint; it works well on Linux Mint. I have had good luck with TorGuard https://torguard.net/ also with lots of server/country options.

I second TorGuard.

Re: VPN service compatible with Linux Mint?
Hi "mintcandy",
+1 again for the superb low cost VPN provider "Private Internet Access (PIA)", as user "xenopeek" mentioned they are also a Linux Mint Sponsor. And, they only cost "$3.33us per month". They have great service and a lot of available servers worldwide.
It would help to know more about your system setup. If you run "inxi -Fxzd" from the console terminal prompt, highlight the results, copy and paste them back here, that should provide enough information.
I would highly recommend that you use the "openVPN" protocol with the TCP option with any VPN provider because it is the most secure option. Linux Mint already has the Network Manager and the "openVPN" protocol programs already installed by default. The Network Manager is in your system tray panel, and shows how you are connected to the Internet, and how you can easily setup a VPN server connection (import VPN).

It depends on what VPN you're going to use
