timelapse question

I want to use my webcam to make a timelapse video.

Is there one simple GUI software that can take pics and make into movie.

I really do not want to use command line, sorry!

Looking for easy simple GUI software. I had one good package in windows that was perfect but cannot find anything for linux.

Why are some things so hard?

Thanks but the gtime is not in my software download and I do not want to compile and load all kinds of things. Nor do I know how.

You can do this with a LOT of effort and willingness to learn, but i don't believe there is a GUI method for linux.

Most folks do not want to write code via command line to do simple tasks like webcam timelapse. I am one of them. Thats why I asked for GUI.

I will be using this while I am driving my truck down heavily snow covered back roads and I neither have the concentration nor ability to pull up a terminal window and type for 5 mins to make 1 thing happen.

I wanted a simple 1 click GUI package but it looks like its not going to happen.

If anyone knows of such a package please let me know. I will check back a day or so.

Here is how I fixed it.........

Loaded some vm software, xp, yawcam and bam its working.

Had a little issue with usb not working to the webcam.

Loaded some "extra" vm tools, loaded some extension pack and then finally had to sudo permissions to vmboxuser in linux to make it pass usb through.

Giant pita!

Would have been easier to just dual boot winblowz, but I hate winblowz with a passion!

Linux rocks at most things. Things that are a little off-key, not so much.......
