Screen being super dark after installing AMD drivers.

Post by hoXyyy »

Hello!

I have a problem with the screen being almost black. It started after installing the propentary AMD drivers using the

Code: Select all

sudo apt-get install fglrx
command. I tried changing the brightness using xbacklight didn't work. I've only found one thread referring to this problem, and there was no fix for me in it. I'm using the ASUS K52Je laptop with Linux Mint 17.3 and ATI Mobility Radeon 5000 series (nothing shows which one exactly).

Do you guys have any idea what's wrong? And how could I fix it?

You can try this:

Click Menu and search for "AMD Catalyst Control Center". Open it.

From there Click "Color" and try to adjust brightness (and boost the stuff you need in these settings).
