Hi,
This issue has been bugging me for some time. I am running freshly installed Mint 18 with an encrypted home folder only, not the whole drive. At random point when I was using the machine, my home folder would become unmounted, leaving only two desktop files for mounting it. This disrupted all I/O access to my home even though many applications were still running. I would have to run the desktop file and enter my password to regain access to my home.
Does anybody have the same issue? Any idea how to fix this?

I find that this usually occurs around 5pm--6pm Central European Time. Does this ring any bell?
