I seet my Linux Mint 17.3 up not requiring a User Name & password to login.
Add printer in Localhost:631 will not allow me to set-up my WP-4530 printer without one
How can I set-up one now?????

that can't be right - - you must have set both, when you installed LinuxMint . .
or, the installer would not have finished, it's installation correctly.
what you must have done, is to set the system to Auto-LogIn during the actual installation.
so, do you remember the UserName - at all ?.
if you don't know that UserName, then click on the Computer Icon, and see what it says, is the current UserName.
for, once that is known, then there are ways to reset the Password itself.
ie: without these two Items, then you can't install that Printer.
or, the installer would not have finished, it's installation correctly.
