[SOLVED] How to see the recent files applet again in my panel?

Post by InChrist »

I had it once, now it is not there anymore. I can't remember if I had removed it somehow.
Anyway, it appears as added to the panel in the applets list, but does not show up in the panel itself.

Assuming that you are on 18.2 Cinnamon, because I am, and of course the rest of the world is just like me
Menu => Preferences => Privacy => Remember recently accessed files: ON

:) Yep, thank you.

I wonder do you see my signature? Because you did not see that I use what you assumed ...

I see it, if I look. But most of the time I don't look because they are frequently outdated or about a different machine altogether. Some people even switch them off for exactly that reason.
So it's unfortunately not a good way to give information about your system. Better to put it in the post.

Glad I could help!

I wonder, can you see it directly under my post without clicking around?
