I updated to LibreOffice 6.0 using PPA deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/libreoffice/li ... 6-0/ubuntu xenial main and it worked like a charm.

So, installing it through it gives you always the latest version immediately after being released. No extra ppa's and stuff.
