Re: Help Quit Working
How do you launch this help? To what program does it belong to?

Re: Help Quit Working
F1 or a program menu.
Neither work anymore for some reason.
A while back I uninstalled something and it messed up my sound system.
No one knew the answer.
Ended up formatting the HD and installing Linux Mint again.
Looks like this is going to happen again...

Hmm. Does anyone know what the packages are called that display the man help dialogues when pressing F1?

Re: Help Quit Working
Been sick & vehicle down...
Guess no one knows HELP in Linux Mint or why it quit.
I suspect BLEACHBIT...???
But the SOUND got messed up after uninstalling some things and I had to re-install Linux Mint.
Looks like that is going to happen again to get HELP fixed.
WOW, three times installing Linux Mint... time to try another distro...
Tried DEBIAN and did not much care for it.
Did UBUNTU a while back and it did not like my other computer much.
I'm a programmer and find Mint a bit glitchy so I might give SLACKWARE or ARCH LINUX a try.
Something with fewer bells & whistles.

Re: Help Quit Working
Well, that can be a pretty effective way to ruin your system, yes... and in that case you can't really blame Mint, can you?Caltrop wrote:Guess no one knows HELP in Linux Mint or why it quit.

If your issue is solved, kindly indicate that by editing the first post in the topic, and adding [SOLVED] to the title. Thanks!
Re: Help Quit Working
Bleachbit is in the Mint Software Repository. If it is so bad it needs to be removed.
Anyway, how to fix HELP...?

Re: Help Quit Working
FIXED IT MYSELF!
As usual...
Went to the Mint Mate Package Manager and reinstalled a bunch of MATE & CAJA stuff.
FIXED!!!
