Reuse Linksys 10/100 router/switch

Post by mr.travo »

I have been beating my head against the wall trying to think of ways to use this spare 10/100 router switch. I already have a Linksys WRT1900AC so I am covered. Anyone have any good ideas?

Does it have a nice, convenient menu to install ROMs? If not, I would probably experiment with trying to gain access to the Linux system. A logic analyzer could help, as well as some in-circuit serial tools. Even write-protection can be disabled with the right signals on most EEPROMs, and then you could even install your own Linux system if you wanted.
