Did the distro recently change the authentication requirements for certain functions?
In the past, I have always been able to enable and disable adapters, change from DHCP to static addressing, etc, without having to reauthenticate. All of a sudden, today, I have to authenticate to enable/disable or change the network adapters in any way.
Is there a way to "auto authenticate" for these functions? Do I need to add my user to a particular group to do this? What caused the change, was it one of the recent updates?
Thanks for any direction here...
Alex
