"killed" USB device by accident [solved]

Post by Lupussilvae »

Hi,

my issue is as following:
  • I attach a USB device and hear by sound the connection is established. But no nautilus opens.
The blocks are as listed here. I expect for sdc1 /media/christian/intenseo

Code: Select all

christian@Lupussilvae ~ $ lsblk
NAME MAJ:MIN RM SIZE RO TYPE MOUNTPOINT
sr0 11:0 1 1024M 0 rom
sdc 8:32 1 14,8G 0 disk
└─sdc1 8:33 1 14,8G 0 part
sda 8:0 0 978,1G 0 disk
├─sda5 8:5 0 977,6G 0 part
│ ├─mint--vg-swap_1 253:1 0 7,9G 0 lvm [SWAP]
│ └─mint--vg-root 253:0 0 923,4G 0 lvm /
└─sda1 8:1 0 487M 0 part /boot
What happened before?
  • I wanted to dd Raspian onto intenseo and processed as listed. The first concern was that the the Information on the stick looked very strange and no connection could be established via nautilus. So I formatted via nautilus, forgot lsblk and started dd again
Gparted and gpart are installed. Further researches lacked of knowledge.

Please help
thx

Try formatting it with gparted. The disk/device selector is in the upper-right of gparted's main GUI.
Please edit your original post title to include [SOLVED] if/when it is solved!
Your data and OS are backed up....right?
