Backing Up Mint 18
I've done some Web searches and haven't been successful yet. I've got Linux Mint 18 loaded on a partition on my hard drive (sda7 according to the System Monitor). What I want to do is copy everything from that partition (about 9GB used out of 36GB available per the System Monitor) onto a 16GB thumb drive, in case I have to reinstall. I tried using the DD command, and it eventually told me there wasn't enough space on the thumb drive. Before that I installed luckyBackup but I don't even know what to tell it to copy. Today I tried making an image with DD but it said it can't access sda7. Can anyone help?

Re: Backing Up Mint 18
Thanks, but those links are full of things that are just gobblydook to me. Is there anything made for idiots? The Clonezilla homepage says the destination has to be at least as large as the partition, so do I need a 64GB flash drive even though I only less than 9 GB of files? Or should I shrink the partition so I can copy it to a 16BG flash drive?
