LM 19 slower boot

Post by Terryphi »

Since upgrading to LM 19 boot time has increased.

Startup finished in 7.490s (kernel) + 36.201s (userspace) = 43.691s

These seem to be the main culprits:

22.458s systemd-journal-flush.service
22.246s dev-sda7.device
21.572s keyboard-setup.service
19.598s lvm2-monitor.service
16.687s systemd-udevd.service

Is this general for LM 19 or is it caused by linux kernel 4.15.0-24 ?

Maybe neither, nor.

Code: Select all

~ $ uname -r
4.15.0-24-generic

Code: Select all

646ms systemd-journal-flush.service
552ms keyboard-setup.service
120ms systemd-udevd.service
Not using logical volumes, I have disabledlvm2-monitor.service on my system.
