XFCE 18.x and 19
No mouse pointer upon resume from sleep
Has happened on multiple PCs
sometimes switching consoles Ctrl-Alt-F1 then F7 will get it back but this is a work-around and not something that should be necessary on 'the best' OS
Just loaded Mint 19 XFCE 64 on a Dell E521 Athlon 64, GeForce 6150 LE graphics and it happened. says The switch consoles trick did not work.

Apparently no one knows how to fix this problem??

No guarantee, but enter this command in terminal & reboot if necessary:

gsettings set org.gnome.settings-daemon.plugins.cursor active false

Another you can try:

1. Open Terminal with Crtl+Alt+T
2. Type 'sudo modprobe -r psmouse' and press enter
3. Type 'sudo modprobe psmouse' and press enter
