hello, I'm running Mint 19 & having problems with it freezing. I thought it was a RAM issue, only 2GB while running an i7. I got an error saying swap wasn't accessible, so opened a terminal & hit # gparted. I get a warning:
"Unit -.mount does not exist, proceeding anyway."
What's happening here & how do I fix it?
And why do we have this bizarre looking &&&? I've never seen an & like that.
gparted error: "Unit -.mount does not exist"

Your disk is corrupt. Start a live session on USB or DVD and backup your treasured stuff before you anything else.

Re: gparted error: "Unit -.mount does not exist"
Thankyou. How can you tell it's corrupt? Is this a file system issue? I just partitioned & formatted the drive. It has a NTFS bootloader partition, a NTFS Win7 or 8 partition, and a brtfs partition with a fresh install of Mint 19. Can I correct this with some drive repair fsck or other?
I did have a swap partition on the drive but just removed it to see if that was causing the constant freezes because it also has the swapfile. But now I'm told that brtfs doesn't do well with swapfiles. Sure would be nice if these details were made explicit in the intall docs.
thanks
