Which Video Player works Best on Linux?
I am using linux on low spec system, but the refresh rate of video in video player is not that good. Can anyone recommend me the best video player for Linux and for low spec system?

gnome-mplayer is very good option for low spec system.

mpv
but refresh rate problems probably won't be solved by player choice. There's only so much a low spec system can do. It mostly depends on the driver. There won't be hardware acceleration unless you install the proper drivers.Re: Which Video Player works Best on Linux?
If it's low spec it's probably also old and I think mplayer is better on old graphics hardware than mpv. Can't hurt to try both of course. I use gnome-mplayer on my netbook, which has one of the worst graphics cards you can have in Linux.
I doubt the refresh rate is actually all that relevant re the player either but there's no useful info there. Post text output of inxi -Fxz.
UNless it's really really old or really poorly supported in Linux there should be hardware accel but hard to say without aforementioned inxi output. There's only so much a low spec system can do.
