Hello,
I have fresh installed Mint 18 ,later upgraded to 19 Cinnamon.Is there any way to calculate the disk space required only for the updates and upgrade from Mint 18 to 19?
How much space is required over time for updates?

Re: How much space is required over time for updates?
Code: Select all
apt clean
PS: Also clear out old kernels, of course, they take up lots of space.

FWIW, my backups (mint 19 was an upgrade from 18.3; all .deb files and old log files are deleted from both backups; both have two kernels installed):deepakdeshp wrote: ⤴Thu Nov 01, 2018 10:47 amI have fresh installed Mint 18 ,later upgraded to 19 Cinnamon.Is there any way to calculate the disk space required only for the updates and upgrade from Mint 18 to 19?

$ du -d 0 *3 *9

You'll get a few hundred MB of .deb files that you can delete (@gm10) when you're done with the upgrade.
