Mint 19 Cinnamon 64 bit.
I tried using the backup tool and putting the results on my USB drive but the system says it doesn't have permission. After checking it appears that the auto-mount is as root. The backup tool requires the password and I would think everything would be fine. It isn't. I was going to uninstall the backup tool and reinstall it, but system manager says it can't be removed. I don't have room on the HD for a large backup and besides that would do no good if the drive crashed - hence the USB drive. I'm over my head already !
Now what?
Thanks
