[SOLVED] qemu-img convert ate my /

Post by manoaratefy »

Good morning,

The title say everything. I've converted a .vmdk disk image to my /dev/sdc1. So, I did this in the terminal:

qemu-img convert /media/**************/01D265B03B445870/VirtualDisk1.vmdk /dev/sdc1

Disk image has been correctly applied into /dev/sdc1.

Then, I shut down my computer to remove /dev/sdc. On boot, I've found that / (which is /dev/sda5) has only 8 MB free. So, where is gone my 1,2GB free space?

I've looked with Disk Usage Analyzer but didn't found the problem.

Did you check using Nemo or Gparted? If you checked Nemo, pls check Gparted and tell us the size left or if it is the same.

Hello,

Nemo and GParted had same value for free space. I did nothing and the disk space is back to normal after two days. I don't know what happened.
