Installing professional fonts

Post by Leenux » Wed Aug 21, 2019 6:07 am

When you get professional fonts you often have like 20 different otf files.

My question is if all of them need to be installed of if that would clutter the font list. Does Linux recognize that it is all the same font, just the italic files of it etc.

What does the short cut
OSF and OSTF mean?

OSF refers to this:

OSTF I have never heard of and typography is a bit of a hobby of mine. Maybe it's a combination of OTF (OpenType Font) and OSF (Old Style Figures)? Really no idea, never seen it used.
