SCIM causes other problems

Post by capchuckprice »

I've found that installing SCIM can cause some applications to fail in unexpected ways. Thunderbird mail is one, and I had odd problems with things like Beryl as well after installing SCIM. I've seen some postings related to this but don't have anything to point you to. Search around. But if things go weird on you after installing SCIM, just remove it and your world should return to normal.

There is probably a fix for this somewhere, I just haven't found it.
