Power management settings do not aply system wide

Post by mintmdrescher »

Hi Members,

on my Tricia xfce, the power management settings seem to only apply per user. When I, as an administrative user, basically disable all power save options this system will ignore this, when the screen is locked. Which means, from the login screen, a push on the power button will shut down the system. Also, after a certain time, which I not jet fount out, how long this time is, the system will go to some power save (suspend, I guess). And for some reason, it will not wake up again. Which is the reason, I would like to disable power save at all.

As it looks to me, the classic ACPI setup does not work any more. I guess, systemd takes care of this these days? Or do we have some X/xfce magic for this?
