I see others have asked questions about Warpinator in this forum so here is my question
I want to know if anyone has Warpinator working on Linux Mint 19.3 32Bit. And if they have, do they know of the method by which it is done.
Thank you
Neill

Re: SOLVED Re: Warpinator
Or perhaps not a lot of people are using a 32-bit version of LM 19.3, let alone Warpinator with it.NeillRutherford wrote: Sadly this seems the wrong place to ask my question
Regardless, I found this ...

Re: Warpinator
Thank you Joe. I bet most people are on 64b machines now
I was aware of that link but I can not make sense of it.
Thanks anyway. I don't think the PPA works

Re: Warpinator
You're welcome, and here's what I found out for myself, admittedly on 64-bit (I don't have a 32-bit PC to test on), with LM 19.3 Xfce.NeillRutherford wrote: Thanks anyway. I don't think the PPA works
Firstly, there does now appear to be a Flatpak version of Warpinator in Software Manager for LM 19.3, but I don't use Flatpak myself, though this may be the easiest solution for you. More info: https://blog.linuxmint.com/?p=3960
If not interested in Flatpak, I was able to install it this way:
-- Add the PPA ...
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:clementlefebvre/grpc
-- Refresh the cache ...
apt update
-- Download the
.deb
archive via the link in this LM Blog article, where it says, "... you’ll then be able to install Warpinator using this package." ...https://blog.linuxmint.com/?p=3890
-- Install the package (make sure you're in the same directory as the archive ...
sudo dpkg -i warpinator_mint19.3_1.0.2_all.deb
I've not tested transferring to other boxes, but it looks like it installed correctly. Again, I'm on 64-bit, so I can't speak to if this will work for 32-bit.

Re: Warpinator
Unless you have tried it on the version of the OS and the same architecture your suggested advise is not valid but thanks anyway. (may be try a VM but I am sure it will not work for you either.(I don't have a 32-bit PC to test on),

Re: Warpinator
Very well. My experience aside, given that this came from the Linux Mint blog, I felt it carried a level of validity. Best of luck to you.NeillRutherford wrote: ... your suggested advise is not valid ...
