Kernel 5.4.0-67 breaks Logitech mouse keys

Post by thehero »

Just updated the kernel to 5.4.0-67 on Linux Mint Cinnamon 19.3 and the mouse keys on the side of a Logitech G602 stopped working.
Switched back to kernel 5.4.0-66 and the keys work again. Have had this mouse for years and it's always worked until this kernel release.

Is anyone familiar with what might cause this? Or how to fix it?

Thanks

Probably a regression bug. Wait for the redeeming update.

Issue is still present in the 5.4.0-70 kernel.

Well, I'm afraid you'll have to wait some more then.

The security risks of running an outdated kernel are usually fairly small, because the big risks are elsewhere (things like your web browser etc.). So there's no need to be unduly worried.

This is working properly for me now, after a recent kernel update.

5.4.0-73 has fixed the issue for me as well.
