I can't move anymore files from linux to windows

Post by Mercuzio »

Suddenly, a few days ago was still possible, I can't copy/move files from Linux to a Windows hd, along with the alert "Error while copying - Partiton only for reading". Tips ?

Make sure "fast boot" is turned off in windows, and completely shut-down windows. (IOW, boot windows, turn "fast boot" off, shut down windows, start linux)

If still problems, look at the mount parameters, which you can add to /etc/fstab, because windows partitions don't have linux-like permissions, and they're determined by how the partition is mounted.

@Mercuzio if you did not change the folder ownership, then something else happened. Are you sharing via VirtualBox, Bluetooth, samba or some other shared folder approach?

Windows "fast boot" is the problem, like I said above.
