Hi, just wanted so see whether there is a Mint XFCE-specific answer to this question, seeing the other forum post that comes up on Google is about cinnamon/MATE and https://askmeaboutlinux.com/2020/07/19/ ... vironment/ does not work (the xsetting commands do not work)

I also want to know how one can change the sound too.

Hi,

To autostart the login sound, go to Settings Manager -> Session -> Startup -> Application Autostart with:
Name = Login Sound
Command = canberra-gtk-play -f /usr/share/sounds/LinuxMint/stereo/desktop-login.ogg

before doing it, you can test the command in a terminal.
