Hi, recently upgraded from 20 using mintupgrade. All seemed to go OK. Have been running about a week now and the problem I find is that my session can suddenly lock, for no apparent reason. Suspicion (unconfirmed) is running out of RAM, or at least that's what it feels like. Which is unexpected in a modern o/s. I have 16GB of RAM and 32GB of /swap. Seems mostly to occur when running multiple tabs (e.g. 4) in Firefox and a couple of windows in Thunderbird.
Any clues, ideas, tests, diags?
Cheers, Bob.

Re: Mint 21 locks up during session
It is likely you are running into the same issue as the person in this topic [SOLVED] LM21 randomly freezing - problem with nouveau driver.

Re: Mint 21 locks up during session
Thank you SMG, looks right on the money.
Ageing Dell laptop (Precision M6400) with unsupported Nvidia driver.
The 21 replacement Nouveau driver seems to be the source of the problem.
Bother.
Looks like back to 20.3!
Many many thanks for prompt and helpful response.
I'll mark this as SOLVED.
