I'm looking at designing some artwork for a business and I need to know the actual license for any font I decide to use.
I'm having trouble confirming the license for fonts. I don't really trust the font websites that say their fonts are free, but have not license with the font files.
I'm not sure which fonts on my computer came with my Mint installation and which I added later.
I don't think I can legally just assume everything is under the SFL.

Re: Font License
Hi,
You may use one of the CreativeCommons licenses: https://creativecommons.org/licenses/
I mostly use the "Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs", CC BY-NC-ND one.

MN

Re: Font License
Hi dogshed
I can recommend the Font Squirrel website: the respective fonts are presented in great detail and the licenses are available for each font.
https://www.fontsquirrel.com
There are also some commercial fonts available, but for those you will be referred directly to the manufacturer's site.

Re: Font License
This would be the worst. I need something that may be used for business purposes, and no derivatives may mean you can't use the font at all.MikeNovember wrote: ⤴Fri Jan 20, 2023 6:01 am Hi,

Re: Font License
Thank you. That does look nice. I am skeptical of some of the download sites. They may be distributing fonts under the wrong license.absque fenestris wrote: ⤴Fri Jan 27, 2023 2:09 pm Hi dogshed
