Please tell me this isn't true.
He hasn't posted since March 5th, that has me worried.

He's usually helping people on here almost every day.

einand, is there an on-line newspaper that would have something about this in the town where Husse lives? We are all very worried about this.

I won't believe it until I get some independent confirmation. If true, it will be the worst thing that could happen to this forum. Husse does such a great job and gets so little recognition for it.

einand: I don't mean to be rude or anything. That would be a serious blow to all of us. Some among the team have worked with Husse for a very long time now.. this is making me sick just to think of it. Is there any way we can verify this? Do you have a local news website, could you check the facts? I went to http://www.borastidning.se but nothing is mentioned about it.

As i don't know his last name its hard for me to find it in a newspaper.
I only know his nick here because he only one week before did ask me to contact me here.
So all I know is that he call himself husse here, and Mats IRL and work as a buss driver.

So if i connected the nick and irl name wrong i very sorry, and happy for him to be alive. But i'm afraid i'm not wrong :(
But as i live in the same area as him. I will keep an extra eye on the newspaper and inform you if i find anyone with that name.

Hi all,

I read about this earlier today, but decided to wait for a while.

It is very hard to accept such bad news and make a sensible comment on it.

This man will surely be missed.

RIP. Mats Geier

Oh wow! It does happen, people tend to die. We lost another moderator over at Megagames forum a few years back, it was a similar experience. Right from left field (which is an Americanism for out of the blue, completely by surprise...). I guess that is always how it is though, unless the person has been sick a while.

If this is true it will be major blow to this forum, Husse will be missed. Of course, that is just incidental compared to a man's life. Like Rocol, I wish I could say I knew Husse and was friends with him...But I cannot. He was just the forum moderator to me, and a decent guy who let posters have their say in most cases and did not use a power trip on anyone. People with that personality are few and far between.

I give my regards to and wish the best for everyone he has left behind. I will also be praying today, or until I can find out for sure, that this is a mistake. But I get the sense that it is not.

I am hoping so much that this is somebodies idea of a very bad joke. Husse has been, and hopefully still is, a good and faithful servant of the Mint community.

He has certainly earned my utmost respect and admiration.

I am speechless and will withhold further comment for verification.

My prayers are with his family.
