Hit this Linux poll
Go to linpc.us, and on the right about half way down, they are polling to see which new linux distro to offer next. I've been hitting mint for a week now, but with a little help we can JUMP ahead of Ubuntu, and we ALL know, Mint is everything ubuntu should be!

Current results to this 'Poll' (as of 04/29/2010 @ 1920)

We were already way ahead of Ubuntu ... they just don't know it yet.

So what is the point then? Just like with distrowatch ratings, you get a few fanboys who swamp the poll with their vote and what does it all prove? Yay, Mint wins...

No thanks, to tell the truth I really do not care which distro wins this poll.

As they say, vote early and vote often.

Re: Hit this Linux poll
I'm with FedoraRefugee, all internet polls prove is who can mobilise the most users to go and swamp the poll.
See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Time_100#Hacking -- 4chan swamped the poll for the 2009 Time 100 to such a degree that they actually determined the order of the top 21, including the 4chan founder "moot" as number 1.
Edit to add: More detailed story here

Re: Hit this Linux poll
You guys, that are 'bashing' this Poll, or any Poll ... are taking life way too seriously.
It's fun. We know that it doesn't mean anything.
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
Mint is still ahead of 'buntu ... even after the release of Lucid.
