More information please.

What number and version of Mint are you using?

What are the specifics of your computer?

What did you do last before this occurred?

Or, if more applicable, what were you trying to do when this occurred?

I'll take a "stab in the dark" here and suggest that you have the wrong language installed. Go to the Control Centre and choose Language Support. Click on it and you will see the languages supported. Click on the ones you want and install them.

Could be hopelessly wrong, of course :?

I was trying to install GTK+ using the official installation guide. Some libraries were missing and i've tried to install them via package manager. There I might did something wrong.

Now i can't access package manager or control panel.

It might be a language issue but the problem persist in both greek and english language.

:(

i am using Gloria

PS with the live CD everything is ok and i can see my files so it has to be a configuration issue
