After Twenty-three Years of Windows - Linux!

Postby MalcolmW » Mon Jul 17, 2017 4:45 am

Hello!
I am 23 years a Windows user and have decided to try using Linux through Linux Mint 18.2. I am anticipating a worthwhile experience with a learning curve that is not too acute!
Initially, the installation was successful and I was making good progress setting up my requirements. But I have encountered a problem, which I will raise elsewhere.

Do Take the Time to Read the LinuxMint Users Guide that came with the installation.

Welcome to the forums. I think you'll be in good company with so many like you, as I am, who have used Windows for decades.
Don't forget to edit your original post and add [SOLVED] to the beginning of the Subject line if your problem has been fixed.
My main language is English. I speak very little Portuguese, and a whole lot of gibberish.

Welcome to the Mint family forums.

Most problems already have a fix

If you need to ask please copy and paste the result of terminal code inxi -Fnx with your question
And take your time to avoid disappointment.

The idea that Bill Gates has appeared like a knight in shining armour to lead all customers out of a mire of technological chaos neatly ignores the fact that it was he who, by peddling second-rate technology, led them into it in the first place.
