Ham Operator new to Linux Mint

Post by 2Hobos » Sun Feb 10, 2019 3:59 pm

Hello,
I am a new Linux Mint user. I am also a Ham radio operator, so I have setup a computer for ham radio operation. I will be using it for normal uses too. I am using Linux Mint as the only operating system on this computer.
So far, I like Linux Mint much more than Windows 10. Wish me luck in getting everything setup the way I want it.

Hi 2Hobos,

Welcome to the wonderful world of Linux Mint and its excellent forum!

There are a few good Ham software packages in the Software Manager or Synaptic Package Manager (SPM), recommend using the "Synaptic Package Manager (SPM)" and searching for ham. There are also other Ham related software packages that can be installed in Linux Mint as well.
