Hi ! How rude of me, I posted a question before seeing this presentation topics. And since I'm not used to forum anymore, I forgot the elementary rule !
Well, I'm 30, I'm french, I'm new to Linux and I'm ready to learn !
I'm not ready to make the leap-of-faith (forget about windows and macOS) for work reasons, but a few years ago I installed Solus on a cheap laptop for getting used to GNU/Linux. Since then, I have this dedicated laptop for bureautic (web browsing/writing/checking emails/playing dosbox).
But, since I'm new to GNU/Linux environements and new logics, as great as can be Solus, it may not be the best place for getting properly introduced to GNU/Linux. I don't really feel at ease with Ubuntu desktop, so I went to Linux Mint. I thought that this highly recommanded and more mainstream distrib would be more fitted for my learning. And even if I have little needs when I use this laptop, I thought that a bigger support/bigger community/more compatibilities would be easier to me to start.
So thank your for your readings and have a good day !
