From Rhode Island: An old timer returns

Post by larrydc »

I began this century on Linux... never got too far in the year or 2 of trying before that: Libranet from Canada (a father-son team) had an easily installed Debian and lots of patience via email to get me up and running.
Since then I've tried over a hundred distros. Mint was always among them.
Now my distro dilettante days are over. I am down to five distros and Mint Cinnamon is one of them as my solid Ubuntu based distro.
While I prefer JWM - because it's so simple that I've managed to understand it :) - Cinnamon works quite well.

A big thanks to all the developers and contributors.

To extend your Linux experience don't forget 2 steps:

#1 Backup your user data, at best daily.

#2 Use Timeshift to save the current state of your system.
Gotcha!

Hello larrydc,
Welcome back to Mint and hope you will be around for a long time :) Enjoy!
PS think you can add JWM from the repositories if you want.
