Linux Mint Forums

My name is Cly, and I am new to Mint. I am a retired, disabled, US Navy Vet. I have been using Mint for just over a month and have no idea why I didnt try Linux in the past. I love it. I work on small projects in 3d, android, and iOS using Unity 3d and cant wait for the Unity 3D version 4 for Linux. Also, I would like to say to all those people that told me Linux wasnt for me, and that it was to much of a learning curve to take a hike off a tall mountain. The install was easy, and the information online helped me install everything I needed to be productive. So, I hope to have a great time with this OS, and enjoy the conversations and tutorials here on the forms.

Be sure also to check out the Community website (ideas, tutorials, and hardware and software reviews), and if you picked Cinnamon as your desktop environment then also the Cinnamon Spices website for adding even more themes, applets and extensions to Cinnamon.

You can also chat in real-time with other Linux Mint users. In the Mint Menu, in the Internet section, start the application XChat IRC. You will automatically get connected to #linuxmint-chat for general chat and #linuxmint-help for support with other Linux Mint users.
